Fintech Leader Identifies Key Privacy Counsel For Interim Support With Legalpeople
Problem
The global FinTech market is nearly a $300B industry, providing services from online banking to private wealth management. One of our clients, a leader in the space, needed to hire a Privacy Counsel to advise cross-functional teams on compliance matters.
Our client sought a midlevel attorney to conduct privacy reviews, assist with project management, and document records of processing activities. The ideal candidate required experience in tracking remediations related to expanding initiatives that impacted PII (Personally Identifiable Information), a history of working on issues such as moderation and regulatory compliance, as well as in-house experience advising technology clients.
Result
The attorney that we identified was a Stanford Law School graduate with privacy experience at two BigLaw firms, including Baker & McKenzie (AmLaw 10), as well as additional experience at a technology company.
Our client was more than satisfied with our candidate. Traditionally, they would have outsourced work to a large firm, resulting in an increase in spend on external counsel. By using our Specialized Interim Attorney Services, our client was able to manage their current privacy projects while simultaneously conducting their full-time search.
